Cucalorus

This will be my second time going to Cucalorus Film Festival. The first time I went was also a mandatory for the class I was taking, and I had barely a semblance of a plan. I had never been to a film festival, so I was lost on what to do/where to go. I also went to a lot of screenings by myself, which made me more lost. And to top it all off, the campus organization I'm part of had an annual event that forced me to care more about it than the festival.
So this year, in addition of having been to SXSW, I now know what will be in store for me and what I want to get out of. The most important thing I will be doing is to further work on my networking skills. I'm not an aspiring filmmaker, nor will I ever be, but that doesn't mean I still can't reach out to established or upcoming ones. I will also be going with friends so that will get some insight on which people I need to talk to.
As for screenings, there wasn't that much that really caught my eye. I blame SXSW and last year's Love Witch (which is incredible, go watch it!) on this. But I plan on seeing Mr. Roosevelt, the Tragedy Girls, the surprise show, and the short films that my friends/people I respect made. As for the parties and panels, those will depend on what's available.
